Hi Marek. Great review as always.
Marek; now that you've driven the new Golf and the new Leon – what's your opinion of these touchscreens that the VW Group are installing in their cars? Do you find them a good thing or dangerous?

    • Avatar

      I find them inevitable.

@Marek Drives Cheers Marek. Sadly – I think you're right. I am in the market for a new hatchback but I'm not a massive fan of these shiny touchscreens everywhere & I think they're somewhat dangerous. I actually quite like the new Golf 8 R Line… but I guess I will have to take one out on a test drive to see. Keep up the good work Marek. Love your reviews my man!

@Glenn Cole Maybe you should see Kia XCeed (same money i guess) or my personal recommendation mazda 3.
Much easier cockpit layout and very very smart indeed.

Why would anyone want twitchy steering that move tge car at the movement useless on motorways and town traffic looks lije your drunk atvtge wheel.
It only good on a racetrack.
Back in the real world you want a relaxed driving car tgst gets you from a to b with as little fuss as possible
That why people like suv with dull steering
This type of car is going the same way as the 3 box saloon car. Disappearing for good.

In that case Skoda is the car for you.
BTW, there's a difference between twitchy and precise.

I very much enjoy your reviews from here in Australia even though we don’t have the new Golf yet let alone this one!

I wonder if you'll be getting the 1.5 TSI version or something bigger.

    • Avatar

@Marek Drives We'll get the 1.5 but I read somewhere that it won't be the eTSI because of our lower fuel quality. Our national government is not keen on electric cars or emission standards. No ID3 anytime soon. Even though the hybrid Toyotas sell like hot cakes – 6+ month wait on the RAV 4 hybrid.

SEAT should bring back the 3 door SC version to the Leon IV as well.

Any chance you'll review the facelifted Astra K? maybe with the new 1.2 petrol engine?
