It worth to buy it, just to get a radar ticket from the air traffic control management.

Silliest vehicle ever. What BMW started with the X6 has somehow infected every German car company. I will admit that these car companies have found a very clever way to comply with mileage standards.

    Again great review Marek.
But I think that all these plug in hybrid cars are anything but great.
Since they are much more expensive than normal petrol or diesel cars and the real world benefit from electric side is pretty minimal.
Also the car is much more sensitive to faults, eg. I know one case were a hybrid Volvo's battery broke and the car don't even start with a petrol engine if the electric side doesn't work.
New battery for that Volvo was "only" 10k € (if I remember correctly) and it's owner has no money to pay for it. So now the owner is selling it at a big loss because it is not working at all.

In case of new Volvo electronics like to play tricks on users even in non-hybrid models. I had an S90 towed from my house on the day I was supposed to record a review 🙂

@Marek Drives Last year, my neighbor's Volvo S80 D5's fuel pump control box cooked itself and the car went into limp home mode.

And the new box was 800€.
The neighbor was really lucky, since the fuel pump pushed diesel at three times normal pressure to the injectors when that control box broke. And none of the injectors broke down.

Yeah, ironically, it makes the car ready for the scrap-heap in half the time of a petrol engine. They're quite environmentally UNfriendly.

Hi there, pretty nice car. However I think its a shame we dont have access to for example new South Korean cars like the new Telluride and Palisade. For some reason I receive notifications for you vids in polish and not in english, anyway, stay safe. So I assume the 26,.. l/100km u mentioned there were real figures.

Yes, the notification business is beyond my control. I thought setting the video language should do the trick, but YouTube knows better.

I also wanted to ask, did you prep the car before filming it? If yes, what product did you use to achieve that tire shine effect?

    • Avatar
      Marek Drives

For the beauty shots I pressure wash the car 5 minutes before, and wipe it down with some old towels and t-shirts on the spot. The tire shine is some supermarket spray. As long as it's spray, not foam, because foam takes ages to settle.

    • Avatar
      Andrei Pashkov

@Marek Drives ok, because I use foam but indeed it's not easy to apply and the shine effect is weak and doesn't last long at all…

    • Avatar
      Marek Drives

@Andrei Pashkov TBH I don't care if it lasts any longer, than I need to film the beauty shots. These stones I'm on are very dusty. By the time I drive off them (maybe 50 meters) I can respray the wheels.

Hi, Mariusz. Thanks for the great video again. We love VAG for their sarcastic way of doing things. (Remember a dieselgate). By the way my Touareg 3.0 TDI is still doing great while being 12 years old.
This car shows how flexible tech possibilities can be, but you shouldn's actually buy one of these. Plain V8 is much more practical. For now.
When we will see a battery with 1000 km run in one charge — then we will talk about it again.
I see more potential in the Ultracapacitors tech.

Dieselgate wasn't sarcasm. It was criminally gassing the population, just like Germany has a history of doing.

After all, loosing 2€ per driven km must be really fun if your middle finger is longer than … you know what…. 😉

I rarely find coupe-SUVs good looking.

The only case of a coupe-ified SUV that I like more than the original is the Audi Q8.
I think the regular Cayenne looks much better than this abomination.

Good and sarcastic review as always. In other life, because in the current one I can't afford a car like this, I will show my middle finger to everyone. I love Porsche Cayenne since first generation.

It seems that all the 300kg of extra weight for the electric motor is doing, is carrying its own weight around. Pointless.

Dziękuję Panie Marku. Świetny angielski! About the car. There is so much special about the special it becomes ridiculous. Bearing in mind changes in traffic regulations which will come into effect from July the 1st, this car makes no sense at all.

This looks better than the regular Cayenne but the hybrid is a big waste of money. And I wonder how much they charge for those incredibly tacky PORSCHE DECALS on the sides of the vehicle? Thanks for the review Marek!

Marek. As you go to all the trouble to produce an English version of your reviews. Have you thought about quoting imperial figures?
