I would be scared to go to a carwash with that flappydiflap wing in the back…I sat in a base model when this launched and the quality was impressive inside and out. I am not a fan of the current MB design at the moment, it’s like a bar of soap..

If you d on't have to compensate the length of your willy, 300 HP is more than enough….for me the A35 please

Ideal balance of car size and power.

Curious you keep comparing a hot hatch to a legit sports car, mid-engine Cayman. Similar performance, you assert? Is that based purely on 0-100kph? I’ve never driven the AMG version of A class but I know the Cayman well and there is just no way the AMG comes close to the dynamic abilities of the Cayman. Why not compare the AMG to a Ferrari GT car as well?

I don't think the AMG A35 would last long on a track day, but on the road they are comparable. Very fast, very stable, they both give you great confidence. The Mercedes is a bit more comfortable and usable.

The new BMW M135i must be a head to head competitor to this car. Also 306 BHP 4WD

Bolts are really hideous but still it's a wonderful car.

67.000 Euro, so basically 2x Focus ST

Why the English video is 13 secondes shorter?🤔😂

It is the number plate holder at the rear that makes the noise when closing the boot marek not the aero, plus doors always need slamming to close. The stop start is a nightmare in traffic and the driving aids are noisy. All quirks of a great car lots of fun every day as I have had one 6 month

The plate is a separate matter. And yes, I said it in the B-Class review as well that the doors need adjustment. And that applies to all A/CLA/B Class models.

    Whats fuel consumption like?

    • Avatar

AFAIR it was reasonable 8-10L/100km depending on how much you pushed it.

@Marek Drives thats very good for 306hp car, especially when you compare it to much cheaper i 30N, 10-12L is minimum. Thanks for your answer Marek, and keep up the good work. 😉

I said it so many times before, but I'm going to say it again… Great review, your focus on details, your criticism etc. – it all feels like you're really doing your job, and not just reading from the brochure like so many others. And that's why your channel is my favorite in the business!

Definitely a good performance car, but I like Golf R approach where are only subtle clues to its real power. This one looks like tuned by some youngster.

Like the humor. Yeah, that spoiler mounting is el-cheapo. Looks like it was bought from JC Whitney and they just drilled some holes with a Harbor Freight drill, and attached with two bolts and nuts from Home Depot, there ya go. The yellow and black is definitely a bumble bee. I'd rather have a pair of GTIs than this. Just as much fun and fewer speeding tickets. Maybe the next invention is "invisible" steering wheels so you can see all of the dash?

I like the change in presentation order, it’s nice to have variation between the vids. This looked more polished, it’s obvious you have matured your style over the years, and you’ve got to a cool result. You liked the car, presented it in a straight forward way, and you were upfront about it. Very nice.Good job, Marek!

Didn't know that A35 exists. Only A45 was widely broadcasted with it's widow making 400 HP. I think sooner these AMG packs will available for rear torsion beam suspension versions. Still not a fan of these double or triple displays in dashboard.
