Why didn't Australia get this car?
It could have been called the Tiida. Anyway, it didn't sell very well, and Nissan axed it last year. Shame, because it was a very good compact car.
Actually, Nissan Cherry became Nissan Pulsar and Pulsar was also called Almera, Sunny, Sentra and Bluebird Sylphy, which were made till 2006 which after Nissan stopped selling hatchbacks in Europe, technically Tiida is what replaced Almera (Almera is the Europe version of the car), Sentra meanwhile is still made in North America (Mexico), Pulsar was basically the same as Tiida in Australia and Japanese kept making the Bluebirds in Japan.Pulsar that we know now in Europe is called C13, C12 was a Tiida, and the Pulsar is still sold under the Tiida name in Russia.Anyhow, the point is, this Pulsar is basically not a Pulsar but a Tiida, and Tiida is a lower class car, so basically this is not a Almera replacement in europe."Lowered Qashqai" is quite accurate wording for what Pulsar is, or a lowered Juke.Still though, it is what it is, a new car with good pricing and good equipment and options.
